Business and Enterprise Coordinator

Sean Ord

My role at The King’s Academy is to develop the enterprising minds of our students. This is done in a number of ways:

  • Coordinating the development of an enterprise focus across the curriculum and also through extra-curricular activities.
  • Working with external agencies – such as Young Enterprise North East, Middlesbrough Football Club’s Enterprise Academy and Make Your Mark – to deliver key business and enterprise messages.
  • Arranging visits to relevant organisations and inviting real business people into the Academy to assist in the delivery of key business and enterprise topics and therefore helping to contextualise the learning of our students.
  • Developing a programme of extra-curricular enterprise events to support the curriculum focus. This will include Make Your Mark clubs, Voicebox (enterprise student voice), house competitions and regular tutor group challenges.

We are always willing to discuss new ways of developing the enterprising minds of our students. If you feel you could assist us in doing so, please contact me direct: sord@thekingsacademy.org.uk.
